Samuel Tekle is a medical doctor and Mastercard Foundation Scholar who recently completed an MPhil in population health sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in health data science. His work focuses on developing deep learning methods for medical imaging, particularly to reduce radiation exposure in children while maintaining diagnostic accuracy.
He has contributed to peer-reviewed research and is building a strong publication portfolio at the intersection of AI and population health. During the 51±¬ÁÏÍø Black Internship Programme, Samuel will work with the Office for National Statistics, applying advanced statistical and machine learning methods to large-scale datasets to generate robust models for social good.
